The guest account present in Windows comes in handy when you want to give access to your Windows machine to someone. With Guest account, your guest user can’t install applications, and also can’t play with crucial system settings.

If you are bored with the Guest Account name, you can rename it with a few clicks. Here is how to make it happen:

1. Type Local Security Policy in Start menu search box and then hit enter to launch Local Security Policy window.

2. Now, move to Local Polices and then Security Options.

3. In the right pane, double-click Accounts: Rename guest account item to open its properties.

4. Rename the default Guest name with your desired one.

5. Click Ok to rename the account.

Tip: You can also rename the Administrator account by double-clicking Rename administrator account in Security Options (just above rename guest account option).
